Supply Chain Planning Project Manager Chicago, IL
MTI is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planning (SCP) Consultant with strong project management skills, APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling), Demand Planning, Strategic Assesment experience, and client service skills. This project manager would lead small to large projects throughout North America. This position is for one of MTI's Chicago based clients- Candidate will work directly for our client.
Responsibilities for this position include:
•Ability to lead and deliver high quality SCP engagements.
•Business acumen and ability to work effectively with customers and senior management in the detailed requirements analysis phases.
•Develop and cultivate relationships and contact network for future business development.
•Business Process Reengineering to support company objectives identified in the projects.
•Documentation of all facets of the projects (business process maps, project plan and status report, design document, user documentation)
•Ability to understand the business needs/requirements from the client and vendor perspective
•Experience in developing proposals and Statements of Work
Qualifications •5 - 8 years experience in SCP projects delivery and consulting.
•Detailed Knowledge and implementation experience of APS software such as BAAN-SCS, I2, MANUGISTICS, SAP APO , ADEXA , PREACTOR or other, both on a functional and technical basis.
•Strong knowledge of demand planning and implementation experience of software such as Logility, Demand Solutions, I2 , Demand Work or other.
•Expertise in strategic assessments.
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
•Detailed knowledge and experience in the manufacturing, Transport and distribution industries with a strong focus on Retail, Food, Metal, Asset and Labor intensive sectors.
•Superior communication and presentation skills.
•Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and delegate.
•Experience in working with a high-paced, collaborative, team-based project environment
•Knowledge of basic programming techniques and object-oriented modeling is an asset.
•Must be willing to travel (approximately 75%)
